Oversees the quality and need for Social Media Marketing (iMarketing) requests, making sure that they are relevant to brand and enterprise key initiatives and have objectives that will result in specific and measurable goals with a positive ROI or brand awareness metric. Responsible for creating the most positive social and mobile user experience across all Digital channels and platforms. Evaluates emerging Social & Mobile technologies, partners, and vendor opportunities to develop a strategic roadmap for prioritization of needs towards short and long term goals. This role also involves working with vendors to grow and strengthen the partnerships. Involves performing essential job functions in an established office environment under normal lighting and climate control tolerances.
Requires a high level of knowledge across digital channels with specialized knowledge in mobile and social media in order to develop marketing strategies, business and web technology staff in achieving short and long-term goals and objectives. Participates in business and technical area planning processes as appropriate. Proactively networks with business leaders in the field with subject matter expertise non-profit fundraising and social and mobile campaigns. Ensures project timelines are communicated to all stakeholders and sets appropriate expectations on deliverables.
Fosters the innovative use of technology and emerging social media by developing an ongoing communication and education system across the organization for sharing the latest benchmarks and trends, historical analysis and key competitor insights. Provides recommendations that will support a consistent brand image and messaging across on all interactive channels, innovative thinking and realistic execution plans to help ALSAC/St. Jude become one of the top fundraising organizations in the nation.
Requires strong interpersonal skills to work cross-functionally within a high-performance work environment with various different stakeholders and leadership to ultimately reach success. Supports a positive culture for change and develops visual aids and project plans as needed to rally teams, communicate high-level strategies, share subject matter expertise and proposed timelines and tactics to all stakeholders to include ALSAC leadership, fundraising departments, regional offices and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Marketing and PR)
Serves as a leader on specific projects assigned by the Senior Digital Marketing team. Actively takes a management role to lead cross-training and mentoring individual contributors in Digital Marketing department initiatives and processes. Works closely with the iMarketing team Liaisons, Senior Liaisons and Managers on all projects. Day to day management of a team consisting of social media moderators, content writers, and Social community management. Also manages relevant vendors as it relates to keeping social and mobile platforms efficient, up to date with leveraging the latest technology and enforcing standards for quality assurance
Collaborates with cross-functional teams and facilitates communication between team members. Serves as the point person for large enterprise project initiatives related to mobile and social and works with web analyst team to determine key KPI’s and projections for campaigns. Initiates online testing strategies that will help to optimize the mobile and social channels and programs. Ensures quarterly and monthly results are reported accurately and timely and shared among all stakeholders along with key insights that highlight top performance as well as areas of opportunity
Leads initiatives for the documentation of Social best practices, policies, and processes as it pertains to the social and mobile channels. Facilitates communication and consistent updating of these documents across the organization, providing specialized training as needed.
Knowledge - Excellent communication skills, including grammar and writing ability a must; requires the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences; ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Must be familiar with all Social Media platforms (existing and emerging) i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Vine, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, YouTube, Snapchat blogging sites, RSS feeds. This role requires the ability to schedule and moderate text (MMS & SMS) and video/image post content and segment messaging to different geo-target locations, specific audiences and demographics working with our outside mobile vendor
Requires being active on social media with a positive social media presence. Requires hands-on experience with Web and mobile texting platforms; knowledge of how to execute mobile SMS campaigns, knowledge of short code/keyword management, mobile messaging and mobile Text to Donate programs. Require experience managing work done with a Social Media monitoring tool. Must demonstrate the ability to use reporting, competitive analysis, web analytics (Omniture preferred) tools and data to build effective business cases and achieve campaign goals (ROI or awareness). This role requires experience working with multi-million dollar, multi-channel marketing campaigns and the ability to show measured success in setting and meeting specific goals.
Requires working knowledge of HTML, iframe and other social app development platforms, Wordpress (or other similar blog platforms), website Content Management Systems, mobile apps and user experience across multiple digital and mobile platforms. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, PR or related field and 5+ years Marketing/PR/Advertising or Digital experience. Must possess a valid driver's license.
Mental - Requires a relatively high degree of concentration and attention to manage multiple interactive projects approximately 75% of the time; periods of mental effort and concentration followed by other aspects of the job with lesser concentration and attention requirements.
Physical - Requires walking/standing, sitting, lifting up to 15 lbs; travel by plane or automobile.
Environmental - Requires capability of performing essential job functions in an established office environment under normal lighting and climate control tolerances.
Manual Dexterity - Requires use of hands and arms to operate a computer and other general office equipment; requires the capability of operating automobile.
