BJI seeks to create a best in class capability in Direct & Database marketing to drive incremental revenue across its brands and customer segments.
Direct/Database marketing is a form of direct marketing that uses databases of customers to generate targeted lists for direct marketing communications. Such databases include customers’ name, e-mails addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, purchase histories, information requests, and any other data that can be legally and accurately collected. Information for these databases might be obtained through application forms for free products, credit applications, contest entry forms, product warranty cards, and subscriptions to product newsletters. In addition, databases will be built with strategic media partners and list brokers.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of the organization’s marketing database.
Develops strategy for targeted marketing campaigns and responsible for data extraction, list or lead generation, and evaluating effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
Initiate market research, including database formation, to guide direct marketing campaigns.
Work closely with the business units to integrate and create campaigns that drive revenue.
Use database information to identify target markets for a campaign.
Coordinate marketing service team so that feedback is continually entered into the marketing database.
Select direct marketing strategies based upon database information and analysis.
Oversee the selection of and manage relationship with strategic data partners (internal BJI brands, list brokers, database co-ops, and media partners).
Develop a metric dashboard for company wide use in evaluating effectiveness of direct marketing campaigns.
Provide monthly and quarterly DM results which include demand generation, customer and prospect results, key trends and suggested improvement tactics and strategies.
Partner with CMO and business leaders to build to develop a 3 to 5 year database marketing strategy
Work with IT to ensure database security and adherence to optimal list hygiene and “canned-spam” law practices
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct reports.
Provide other duties as required or assigned.
College degree in related field. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
7+ years relevant experience in the field or related area.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the company familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.
Background in information technology or relational databases would be helpful.
Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
