Student Affairs Marketing is responsible for strategizing, creating, implementing, and assessing the marketing and communications efforts for the Division of Student Affairs and the departments within it. Student Affairs Marketing creates integrated marketing communications through digital and print campaigns, photography, video, and social media. The Student Affairs Marketing office is located in the Indiana Memorial Union and reports to the Union on a day-to-day basis, it is responsible for projects throughout the Division of Student Affairs. Departments include the Vice Provost/Dean of Students' Office, the Health Center, the Indiana Memorial Union, and more.
This Marketing Manager/Graphic Designer position will be shared between the Health Center (75 percent) and the Division of Student Affairs (25 percent), which includes projects for the Vice Provost. Responsibilities for both entities include performing a key strategic role by developing and executing marketing and communication plans for the various departments, clinics, services, and educational/outreach programs to achieve both common and individual strategic objectives for each area. This position uses graphic design skills and marketing principles to create and implement effective integrated marketing communications to promote the growth and awareness of the Health Center services and other departments within the Division. Further, this position serves as the primary project manager while implementing various marketing methods, tactics, and initiatives for the Health Center and other Divisional departments.
REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, communications, or related field and three years' experience working in marketing, communications, or other creative environment.
Experience planning, creating, and implementing integrated marketing communication campaigns. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop (CC preferred) or related graphic design software. Familiarity and experience implementing principles of effective design. Familiarity with basic marketing and communication concepts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work with a variety of people and situations. Fine attention to detail, professionalism, and dependability. Exceptional decision-making skills.
Experience marketing in the fields of health care or higher education; Knowledge of HTML and website design; Proficient in photo editing.
