The Graduate Assistant for Marketing & Graphic Design will work within the sports marketing department and be responsible for assisting with creative development, production of graphic material and digital marketing initiatives aimed at increasing ticket sales for designated sports.
Position will be responsible for social media marketing efforts, including the development of ticket promotions and fan/student engagement initiatives. Additionally, in collaboration with the Creative Director, candidate will conceptualize and create engaging, brand-consistent artwork for projects including, sales and online communication materials, social media graphics, fan engagement materials, web banners, brochures, email and video-board graphics.
Additionally, Graduate Assistant will be responsible for assisting in game-day marketing and promotions for designated sports. These duties include, but are not limited to, planning and executing on-field/on-court promotions, script writing, distribution of fan giveaways, and strategizing and implementing new ideas to improve game-day atmosphere and attendance.
The successful candidate must be able to develop ideas independently and respond efficiently to department needs and requests, as well as communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sports management, graphic design, or a related field, with a minimum of one year of sports marketing/design experience; proficient with Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign software programs; demonstrated social media proficiency; must have knowledge and interest in Division I intercollegiate athletics; must be willing to work some evenings, weekends and holiday hours when required for events. Candidate must be well organized and able to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve targeted goals.
