This newly created position will be responsible for understanding the consumer and the consumer experience for business units across Optum, identifying ways to better meet consumer's needs, representing the voice of the consumer to business areas and leading other strategic research and analytical initiatives to help business leaders achieve their business objectives. Primary Responsibilities:Market research efforts across the Optum organization to evaluate the consumer experience as part of a core consumer experience teamConduct complex studies using internal and external resourcesAnalyze data to identify strengths, pain points and identify strategic and tactical actions for the businessEnsure all data security, quality, regulatory, client and stakeholder requirements are metSupport the Optum Consumer Insights team in helping bring the voice of the consumer to Optum and other activities
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree (or Higher) in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, Statistics, Marketing Research, Marketing or related field5+ years of relevant Market Research, Consumer or Marketing experience3+ years of experience analyzing data, including synthesizing data from multiple sources to tell a concise, compelling, strategic story and make actionable recommendations1+ years of designing, implementing and analyzing consumer experience research related, including identifying actions to take to improve the consumer experienceAbility to create, copy, edit, send, and save within Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint Preferred Qualifications:Master's Degree (or Higher) in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, Statistics, Marketing Research, Marketing or related fieldHealthcare Industry exposureSoft skills:Strategic perspectivePassion for understanding the consumer and improving their experienceWork effectively individually and in a team environmentDemonstrated aptitude for detail as well as the ability to understand the big pictureExperience building and strengthening relationships with internal business partners and market research firmsStrong verbal and written communication skills as well as strong problem-solving abilitiesCareers with Optum.
