The Marketing and Program Manager has organization-wide responsibility for marketing messaging, creating and managing the communications calendar and overall branding of the organization. The MPM also manages key signature events and is responsible for the coordination and planning of key projects and programs. The MPM supervises and works together with the Marketing and Events Coordinator, as well as other team members - IT Manager and Membership Coordinator to ensure that all events, programming and marketing efforts are carried out in a well-coordinated and effective manner.
Responsibilities & Duties: Marketing – Branding, Promotion and Communications 1.Define DCBA brand through events. a.Develop a unified brand image for use on all collateral and promotional material. b.Create signage for reception area and stage/event venue. 2.Develop coordinated events and programs communications to promote attendance, while monitoring and being mindful of the amount and frequency of communications. a.Oversee the event promotion working with team members on flyers, e-mail campaigns, social media, print media, and any and all forms of promotional tools necessary to achieve organizational goals for attendance. b.Maintain organizational event digital calendar c.Ensure all events are on DCBA website and internal calendar d.Oversee the preparation of invitations (electronic and print as appropriate) and ensure that they are distributed at appropriate time. 3.Develop annual bundled and single-program sponsorship packages. Secure sponsorships for events and maintains event sponsorship files. 4.Develop collateral material and communications for membership recruitment and retention
Events Management 5.Manage staff responsible for event and CLE activities as well as marketing staff. a.In coordination with the Executive Director, train and educate staff on proper event procedures. b.With Event & Marketing Coordinator and Membership Coordinator, oversee development of event and CLE timelines and checklists. c.Conduct planning meetings and follow up as appropriate to ensure staff is prepared for events. 6.With Event Coordinator develop event budgets and adjust as necessary. 7.Analyze event performance and prepare metrics presentation.
Experience: Minimum of five years in marketing communications and event management. Strong background in programs such as Microsoft Office, Constant Contact and social media. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Three references are required
