The University of West Florida is now accepting applications for the position of Director of Marketing and Sales (#116650). Essential job functions: Annually develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and promotions plan to maximize exposure, and attendance for all programs Solicitation to outside parties to arrange for group ticket sales to Athletics department events Develop campaign themes and design the corresponding collateral materials Coordinate social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat etc…) as it pertains to marketing and promotions Develop student and community outreach plans Serve as the liaison with student organizations and community groups as it pertains to increasing awareness and attendance Coordinate the distribution of marketing materials to sponsors, local vendors and University departments Develop and implement in-game promotions Direct game operation functions as they pertain to marketing including writing game day scripts, PA content, sponsor fulfillment, music/band coordination, and spirit squads Office management, including overseeing a staff of graduate and undergraduate students Oversee all Athletic Department ticket operations; including, but not limited to season ticket sales, season ticket renewals, group ticket sales Manage daily ticketing box office Collection and reconciliation of ticket sales revenues from both office and venue sales; compile appropriate ticket sales reports following events Compile ticket sales projections for budgeting purposes Design and coordination of production of "hard" tickets Manage box office for all home athletic and special events; coordinate pass list/will call/consignment tickets for games Responsible for ticket office compliance to all NCAA rules and regulations pertaining to ticket distribution procedures. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and one year professional experience; or bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years experience. Desired Qualifications: Minimum qualifications as described above. Knowledge of marketing principles a must. Ability to manage ticket sales and develop marketing plans to increase attendance at home UWF Athletic Events. Excellent written and verbal skills. Proficient in public speaking.
