This position will execute the strategic direction and provideoperational oversight for the UTC Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship(CIE). Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with the Clarence E. Harris Chairin Entrepreneurship, Dean of the College of Business, and Department Head forMarketing & Entrepreneurship to deliver existing entrepreneurshipprogramming, such as the Elevator Pitch Competition, the SoutheastEntrepreneurship Conference, and the Veterans Entrepreneurship Program.
Developing and delivering new programs toencourage cross-campus entrepreneurial activity.
Directing and evaluating the CIE administrativestaff with respect to programs, conferences, and initiatives of the center.
Identifying, recruiting, and deploying mentorsand entrepreneurs-in-residence to enhance the curricular and co-curricularentrepreneurship experience for students and faculty.
Assisting in fundraising activities for the CIE,i.e. grant proposals, donor funding.
Assisting in managing the CIE's budget process.
Supporting collaboration and increasedcommunication across UTC and the Chattanooga entrepreneurship community.
Increasing student engagement with theChattanooga entrepreneurship community.
Serving as faculty advisor for the E-Club"Entrepreneurship Club"
Teaching three classes per year in Entrepreneurship.
