We are in search of an experienced, enthusiastic and engaging Vice President of Marketing to lead and motivate our marketing team. In this role you will grow our hotel's individual brand stories, brand spirit and online presence and ensure implementation and support of all Brand marketing initiatives.
This position will be based at our Corporate Office in Portsmouth NH, providing leadership and marketing expertise, strategy, analysis, evaluation and resources necessary to assist the organization in achieving both short and long-term business objectives and goal.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
-Work in coordination with owners, senior executive team and corporate teams to take charge of the Colwen brand(s) messaging including positioning, executing all functions of marketing, strategic planning, channel management and creative messaging.
-Drive and manage digital marketing creation, e-commerce, media planning, production, budget management and overall execution.
-Manage third party agencies (PR, Media partners). -Lead the strategic planning, project management, and seamless execution of integrated marketing and communication strategies.
-Define and develop a cohesive omni-channel storytelling through branded creative and effective channel strategies that deliver upon the Colwen/Brand(s) marketing and advertising objectives.
-Identify and implement where appropriate, marketing trends, tools and applications specific to the hotel industry and target markets.
-Ensure marketing strategies are developed, communicated and implemented across the organization in a consistent manner.
-Drive and document resources for internal stakeholder to educate and articulate the various points of brand distinction at each hotel property.
-Review Marketing strategies employed to build individual hotel’s brand awareness and all related strategies to achieve budget revenue goals.
-Create, launch, or re-launch plans and strategies for new or existing properties.
-Ensure implementation and support of all Brand marketing initiatives and require necessary metric/measurement procedures to assess results.
-Assess and determine the hotels’ clear understanding of their guests, segments, competition, and the properties’’ positional relationship to and within these.
-Manage hotel’s marketing budget and accurately forecast future expenditures based on upcoming strategies, programs, agency commitments, and hotel programming.
-Complete annual hotel marketing plans for review with leadership.
-Measure and report impact of marketing strategies.
-Deliver timely market analysis as required.
-Initiate new approaches, markets and solutions in developing advertising, promotions and marketing campaigns.
-Develop strategic recommendations on improving social media strategy and tactics for each brand in the portfolio.
-Ensure developed marketing campaigns are well-targeted, well-executed, support hotel positioning and are communicated across the organization.
-Educate the organization to newly defined brand strategy through, speeches, personal relationships, training seminars and workshops.
-Work in collaboration with senior leadership to raise organizational and community awareness of Colwen Hotel’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility, community philanthropy, and employee recognition.
-Act as a spokesperson representing Colwen hotels in local and national networking organizations, community, and industry events.
-10+ years of hospitality full-service and or Lifestyle marketing experience.
-High degree of collaborative and team management skills, ensuring agreement and buy in at all organization levels.
-Well-versed in all hotel market segments.
-Previous experience with Marriott and Hilton brands. -Effective project management skills.
-Excellent presentation skills.
-Superior communication skills (both verbal and written).
