This position reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications, and is part of a four-person Marketing & Communications team at Milken Community Schools in Los Angeles. Milken is a college prep private day school that serves students in grades 7-12. Established on the foundation of the highest academic standards and Jewish values, Milken welcomes students from a variety of diverse cultures and backgrounds. The Marketing and Communications team is looking to advance its operations, focusing on best practices and leading the way in the world of private school marketing initiatives.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are looking for a collaborative, motivated, and energetic digital marketer who has experience with inbound and lead nurturing, promoting brand awareness, and is able to provide a high-quality user experience for our constituencies. This position will work to attract and convert new target audiences to aid in achieving admission recruitment goals, as well as advancement fundraising and relationship building goals. The role will also develop strategies for communicating high-value content to existing constituents to increase readership and brand awareness. This position is ideal for an ambitious, data-driven, and strategic digital marketer.
Duties of the Associate Director of Digital Marketing
OVERALL DIGITAL MARKETING
Lead and implement strategies to drive and convert leads using search engine optimization (SEO) and email marketing
Create monthly reports of website and email analytics, and analyze these reports to drive improvements to the website and email marketing strategy
Manage products that enhance the online experience for users to support admission recruiting, alumni relations, and fundraising efforts
Manage regular e-communication campaigns
Manage online brand and project campaigns to raise brand awareness
Evaluate customer research, market conditions, and competitor data
Review new technologies and keep Milken at the forefront of digital marketing developments, trends, and strategies
INBOUND MARKETING - HUBSPOT
Work with the director to implement strong inbound marketing strategies to drive revenue
Develop content strategy for Milken School’s inbound blog, keeping in mind search terms and persona research, including blogs, emails, and premium content
Create and maintain landing pages using Hubspot design tools
Develop, manage, and track digital marketing campaigns including email workflows to nurture contacts and drive conversions
Work to grow the newly formed inbound program over the course of several years.
WEBSITE & DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS
Create and maintain webpages for using OnMessage content management system
Implement a range of techniques to enhance digital value including SEO and SEM
Manage the design, and potential future redesign, of the Milken website
Improve the usability, design, content, and conversion of the Milken website
Create regular reports on successes and areas of improvement for digital marketing
Assist with content creation as needed (writing, graphic design, photography, video)
Other duties as deemed necessary by the Director
Requirements of the Role
Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, communications, or related; master’s degree required for associate level
Minimum of 3-5 years related experience for assistant level, 5-7 years for associate level
Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practices
