Reporting to the Managing Director of Corporate Marketing and Sales, the Senior Director will develop and implement an integrated, global sales and marketing strategy designed to build a pipeline of highly qualified participants for the Harvard Business School Open Enrollment (OE) and Custom program portfolio. As part of this strategy, the Senior Director will:
Implement a data driven market segmentation strategy for all global regions.
Ensure the creation of a compelling value proposition for the Corporate Market designed to enable us to identify and form longstanding relationships with clients.
Utilize this value proposition in developing and implementing a marketing strategy designed to grow our corporate business in all targeted regions.
Create and implement regional strategies for all targeted markets.
Develop measureable targets for the Corporate Sales team.
Implement sales processes designed to provide accurate sales forecasts as well as capture and share market intelligence which will inform the continued evolution of our portfolio of programs.
Develop a strong team culture and build capabilities across the team focused on differentiating HBS as the partner of choice for developing their key talent.
Create robust metrics and reports to help guide strategy.
Focus on developing a close partnership between sales directors and program directors to drive sales strategy and increase sales.
Develop strong, trusted working relationships across all functions in Executive Education as well as with faculty and other B2B market facing teams across HBS.
Create event strategy to increase brand awareness and prospect pipeline.
Manage a staff of six regional directors and an events manager.

8+ years of direct marketing and business development experience and 5+ years of direct line management experience.

Capable of operating in a highly complex environment such as academia, with the particular concerns of higher education, and a nuanced decision-making process.

Is agile and adaptive to constantly changing client needs and competitive moves.
Approximately 30-40% travel (domestic and international) required.
